The effect of visual templates matched with auditory tracks in perception and comprehension of information. We are examining how the use of different visual templates can affect learning of new information that is paired with the same audio track. For example, how does interest in subject matter and comprehension change when the same audio track is presented with the "Lazy Professor" template (long bullet points of text only) compared to "Visual Dynamic" template (minimal text, rich visuals that illustrate the main concept). This project is being conducted in collaboration with Chris McAllister from the Science Media Lab and Dr. Philip Savage from Department of Communication Studies and MultiMedia. |
